Modern Slavery Policy

Modern Slavery Policy

Modern Slavery is complex and in order to tackle it many individuals play a part. Our managers and colleagues all have responsibilities to ensure fellow workers are safeguarded and treated fairly. KAT Europe maintains relationships with many different organisations or dealers in its supply chain, we have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery within the organisation and its supply chain.

We follow integrity measures regarding operating fully in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. In this policy we highlight how we comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. These rules are as follows:
  • No excessive or illegal wage deductions
  • Workers are able to enter or leave the premises freely
  • No excessive overtime
  • Identity documents cannot be confiscated or withheld
  • Wage deductions are not to be used as discipline and termination practices

We also include responsibilities in which how we look to identify or report any of these cases. It is important to identify these issues correctly and thoroughly before reporting.

These points may sometimes not be necessarily a victim of slavery. Any suspicions follow our reporting procedure.

  • The person does not possess their own identification or travel documents, this includes passport
  • The person is acting like they are being instructed by another individual
  • They allow others to speak for them or appear withdrawn/frightened
These reporting procedures are outlined as follows:
  • Talking to someone about your concerns may stop someone being exploited.
  • If believed someone is in any immediate danger, dial 999
  • Otherwise any concerns should be discussed with the manage who will then decide on the course of action.
