Garments that are made from PVC need conform to specific European regulations and as part of Ollyskins commitment to quality, we use reputable suppliers with traceable supply chains to ensure that this is adhered to.
All our fabrics are REACH compliant according the European Regulations. This applies to PVC, Phthalate Free PVC or even Non-PVC fabrics).
Established since 2006, but what does REACH stand for? Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals.
About Phthalates
Phthalates in particular is a group of chemicals associated with PVC fabrics. This group of chemicals is used to give plastics additional flexibility and harder to break. They are often called plasticizers.
The fabrics Ollyskins use will generally contain a very small amount of Phthalates but from a monitored production facility, in contrast to purchasing a garment that is manufactured overseas without this traceability.
