Manufacturing Made-to-Measure Waders has been an ongoing challenge but is something that Ollyskins see as vital to our range of services - for our Angling wearers but also for our Industrial customers where ensuring you provide the same garment for all your team is essential for inclusion and health and safety purposes.
Choice of Wader fabrics
Ollyskins is now able to offer Made to Measure Waders in PVC, Neoprene Butyl and we soon hope Breathable fabrics (watch out for further updates on this latter option).
Choosing a fabric for your Made-To-Measure Waders
PVC
- Lowest cost option.
- Flexible fabric.
- Typically Non-Breathable
- Excellent for Industrial Waders as we have some thicker fabric options that are as puncture resistant as is possible in PVC.
Neoprene
- Higher price point.
- Exceptionally warm in the winter months (nothing compares for warmth).
- In a class of their own regarding comfort and fit.
- Very water resistant
- Easy to repair with repair patches, tape and glue.
Butyl
- Higher price point.
- Thinner fabric but still very resistant to puncturing.
- Industrial type fabric, better for summer months.
- Very water resistant like Neoprene.
- Easy to repair with repair patches, tape and glue.
Breathable
- Higher price point.
- Typically associated with Fly Fishing (e.g. well know brands like SIMMS)
- Multilayered fabric with breathable characteristics.
- Can be repaired with care, using repair patches, tape and glue.
- Very water resistant.
- Needs more care than a Butyl fabric.

All Bespoke Waders are supplied with the dinstintive Ollyskins orange straps as standard so you can still support the brand on the bankside or at work.
