Why Vibram?

Over 60% of Hiking Boots in a recent survey were fitted with a Vibram sole. The reason? Better grip on slippery surfaces, deeper tread and significantly improved longevity are among a few reasons these sole units are an excellent choice. Made in Italy, Vibram produces over 35 million soles each year for a diverse range of footwear.

About Vibram sole Wellingtons

The Polyurethane (PU) uppers on our Wellingtons have excellent thermal properties due to the air bubble construction - they are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Polyurethane also lasts significantly longer than PVC and is resistant to breakdown from oils, fats, acids and organic solvents. You’ll often find for example, that Polyurethane Wellingtons are used in the Food Industry, or Heavy Industry where the presence of these fluids is present in cleaning or machinery chemicals of in food fats.

Combining the benefits of a Polyurethane upper with the Vibram Rubber sole wellingtons results in a superb combination for durability and performance.
